In the early 1990s, in their hometown Chattanooga, TN, the vocal quintet released their debut album. It was only available regionally.
Today, Usher is sweeping up the charts with 2001s triple platinum 8701 and its #1 smash hit U Got It Bad. But more than 10 years ago, the singer made his first impression in NuBeginning with band mates Anthony Byrd, Adrian Johnson, Reginald McKibbens and Charles Yarbrough. As a child, Usher sang in his churchs gospel choir, directed by his mother, and it wasnt long before a local music entrepreneur, Darryl Wheeler, decided to put him together with other local talents in a positive, uplifting, pre-teen singing group.
